Following a hugely successful event in 2014, the organizers of Kettlewell Mayfest are pleased to announce that this festival will be held again on Saturday, May 23rd, 2015.
The 2014 Mayfest united communities within Upper Wharfedale, who worked together to showcase the cultural richness and diversity of talent that exists within the Yorkshire Dales and surrounding areas. Take a look at the blog of Marmalade Rose and Makepiece, which give a fantastic pictoral account of the whole day and all this hard work paid off, as we were then shortlisted for a Craven Community Achievement Award, of which the local community are very proud.
So now, this years event will be even bigger and better, with the focus still being on local Farming, Flocks, Fashion, Food and Fantastic Ales. There will also be a Live Music Stage throughout the day that will include an 'End of Festival' Event, with a live band which will take place in Kettlewell Village Hall in the evening.
In 2014, The Fashion Show gave the Festival its 'WOW Factor'. So once again, we will feature top local designers and rising talent within the field of fashion for both men and woman and this year we hope to include the opportunity to buy.
This year there will be more activities and entertainment for families and young children, whilst encouraging local artists to exhibit and/or sell their work. If you have a talent, whether for producing jewellery, textiles, foods etc or as a musician and would like to take part in our festival, please contact Caroline Hatton on 01756 760378 email: email@example.com
